I have been very lapse with the blog and so I have decided to use it properly this year (I hope) and actually record the seeds I plant so I can buy them again if they are good.
TODAY 8.3
I sow my first beans of the season.

I have gone for a long full green bean that can be sown in Feb… Why are there so many different beans? I have used grape boxes and put 6 in each with the little slit showing upwards. I have gone for Mr F. Masterpiece green longpod broadbeans. Green beans with exceptional flavour and one of the best for freezing. Reliable and popular with exceptional yeilds. 😁
I have also decided to sow peas in a tray to start them off. I have gone with RHS Starlight which is a top quality producing generous wilt resistant and extremely reliable. The first year (3yrs ago) I got excited with growing and picking fresh peas from my allotment but had not much luck…. This year I hope they will be better. 🤞

To top of my sowing today I have also planted Mr. F Greyhound cabbages. Mild flavour with pointed heads. I love cabbage but for some unknown reason, never planted or grown them.
These are all for plot 8a but also added a lovely salad bed at home this year.

This is going to have radish, spring onions, lettuce and lambs lettuce.
Still watching Claire posting her videos which I ❤️ on you tube.
Well enough for the day.
Let the growing season begin… 🌱
