Wow what lovely colours. I grew white (which did the best – plump big white beetroot) golden which did well but much smaller than the white but lovely colour and no bleeding. 😀
Used DK preserves book recipe for beetroot relish and added a few extras myself. Looking forward to tasting as it smells lovely.
From crab apples we have sage jelly, mint jelly and chilli jelky and now the last pint is being added to blackberry jelly.

My plum tree did not bear fruit tbis year but went into local shop and saw 5 boxes of plums for 15p each. So I bought them and then looked through all my cook books and decided to go for Thane Prince’s Chinese Plum Sauce.
